Jesse Chalfin, Director of Tennis and Head Pro
Jesse is a PTR Certified Tennis Professional. His adult and youth teaching experience includes the Prospect Park Tennis Center, Total Tennis, and Hockessin Indoor Tennis. He played USTA Eastern Division tournaments before competing at the University of Delaware. Jesse is the former head coach of the St. Joseph’s College men’s and women’s tennis teams. He is also a Co-Founder of a luxury tennis vacation business, Racquet Retreats.

Bradley Hack, Teaching Pro
Bradley returns to Woodstock Tennis Club for his second year. He competed for Kingston High School where he played first singles, was a 2-year captain, and 5-time section qualifier. Bradley is a 4-time Ulster County Junior Champ, 2-time Woodstock Junior Champ, 2-time Woodstock Open Semifinalist, and Ulster County Open Semifinalist. Prior to WTC, Bradley also taught tennis at the town of Red Hook junior tennis camp. He currently attends Purdue University.

Steve Josephs, Teaching Pro
Steve has more than 30 years of tennis teaching at WTC alone! He also has a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology. He taught tennis and psychology at SUNY, UCCC, and Marist College, and has published articles on sport psychology and tennis. Steve founded the Woodstock Open in 1976.

Jay Behrke, Teaching Pro
Jay played tennis professionally in California and Europe in his 20s and has taught professionally for more than 40 years. He also covered the U.S. Open as a reporter for The New York Times, was awarded Coach of the Year by the Poughkeepsie Journal for his work with the New Paltz High School Girls Tennis Team, and is an active digital producer, creating documentary-style video for his websites.

DeWitt Nelson, Racquet Services
DeWitt is a USRSA Certified Stringer. He provides off-site racquet stringing, plus grips, weighting, etc. He does pickup and drop-off at WTC. DeWitt can be found most mornings from Memorial Day through Labor Day working at the desk at WTC.

Sharon Crego, Club Manager
Sharon has been our club manager since 2018. With her love of tennis and her background in bookkeeping and business management, she helps with membership, desk staffing, and events.
